About Us

The Duke Undergraduate Bioethics Society (DUBS), founded in 2009, aims to promote the exchange of ideas and foster, through scholarly discourse and debate, an awareness of the ethical, social and legal implications of development in science, technology and medicine. Through an open-minded exploration of these topics, we hope to engage students from a range of disciplines in a common dialogue. More importantly, we seek to encourage students to bring into consideration bioethical issues with regards to decision-making on campus and in the local and global community.
